At the time of writing this article Bitcoin is just above 7500$ mark. Its cruising like super sonic aircraft. Its future is also looking bright so far. My prediction for it is 9500$ for the end of year 2017. But around SegWit2X this month it may go down a bit i.e. around -500-600$. But it will surely pick race afterwards. So, all looking positive so far for Bitcoin. This SegWit2X is also main reason for its price spike as people are expecting that this time around they will again equivalent new coin which might not be case. This would be different from two Bitcoin hard fork's those resulted in Bitcoin-Cash and Bitcoin-Gold. This time around it wouldn't be hard fork but rather bit of changes in underlying blockchain functionality to handle more transactions per block and to speedup Bitcoin's transaction speed.
The digital currency's market cap recently surpassed $100 billion, a significant figure that helped provide Bitcoin with greater legitimacy. And it currently accounts for more than 50% of the crypto currency world.
As its really becoming bull, its investors also need to become bit mature and need not be panic on flash news about it from different famous personalities of the financial institutions like JPMorgan's Jamie Dimon. They will not like Bitcoin a single bit because it is directly challenging their banking system where they charge hefty amounts per transactions. On the other side, there are no or very low transaction fees within crypto currency world for transfers.
